Making a Purchase
To place an order browse our products and click on any items that you wish to buy and put them into your ‘Shopping Cart’. After you have finished your selection, click on ‘Shopping Cart & Proceed to Checkout’, you can do so via logging into your account where you will need to provide certain compulsory personal information in order for us to process your order. We will not store the details that you provide if you have opted in to receive marketing.
When you create an account we may provide you with and/or ask you to use passwords or other means to allow you to access certain areas of the Website and/or to maintain your account security. It is your responsibility to maintain the confidentiality of your password and account information. Green Planet Candle Co shall not be liable to any person for any loss or damage which may arise as a result of any failure by you to protect your password or account. NHS Staff Discount
20% off products purchased only from this website. NHS staff discount EXCLUDES sale items which are already discounted, charity candles, gift vouchers & subscriptions.
To qualify for the NHS discount you must email a photo of your ID badge to firstname.lastname@example.org within 7 days of your order. Use promo code NHS20 at checkout. The promo code can be used any number of times by NHS staff only (not friends or family). There is no minimum order.
NHS STAFF DISCOUNT TERMS
Goods will only be dispatched on receipt of an email attaching a clear photo of your NHS ID badge.
Excludes charity candles, sale/reduced price items, gift vouchers and subscription boxes. If you wish to purchase any of these products, please make a separate order.
The NHS staff discount cannot be applied to orders that have been completed or backdated to previous orders.
Failure to provide the necessary photo ID within 7 days will invalidate your order and you will be invoiced for the balance. Alternatively, the order can be cancelled at your request.
Acceptance of your Order
Please note that completion of the online checkout process does not constitute our acceptance of your offer to purchase products or services. We will notify you by email as soon as possible to acknowledge that your order has been received and that it is being processed. Our acceptance of your order will take place only when payment is taken and the dispatch of product(s) or on commencement of the services that you ordered from us. Prior to dispatch of the product(s), Green Planet Candle Co has the right to decline an order for any reason, including legal and regulatory reasons.
Dispatch of your Order
In most cases, goods are dispatched within 1 business day but please allow up to 2 business days to get your order ready. Furthermore, due to the nature of natural wax, it is not recommended that candles or melts are dispatched during extremely hot or humid weather conditions. On the rare occasion this may happen, you will be emailed to discuss delivery options in order to avoid goods being left to stand for long periods, over a weekend, for example, in places such as delivery depots or hot delivery vans. You may also contact Green Planet Candle Co with any special delivery enquiries or requests prior to making your purchase.
Monthly Rolling Subscription Service
The monthly rolling subscription may be cancelled at any time. Goods will only be dispatched once your monthly payment has cleared. Returns or exchanges are not accepted. A replacement item will be offered if the goods are received damaged. Photo-evidence will be required in this instance.
Pre-Paid Subscription Service
You may choose either 3, 6, 9 or 12 months pre-paid subscription and also choose the start date. You may gift your subscription to any UK resident (excluding Channel Isles & BFPO). The first order will be dispatched on your chosen start date or the next working day thereafter (excluding Bank Holidays). Goods will be dispatched every month for the period of subscription. Returns or exchanges are not accepted. A replacement item will be offered if the goods are received damaged. Photo-evidence will be required in this instance.
Changes to your Order
Any changes to your order must be notified by email to email@example.com and within a reasonable time as goods are usually dispatched within 1 working day. If you amend or change your order you may find there are changes to your delivery timetable and/or the price you pay for the item (you will be charged the current selling price on the day you amend your order). Any additional postage must be paid before goods can be dispatched.

If the issuer of your card refuses to authorise payment, Green Planet Candle Co will not be liable for any delay and / or non-delivery of your order or any charges. No orders will be accepted or processed without a valid payment in the name of the registered cardholder.
Ownership of Goods
All items supplied to the customer remain the property of Green Planet Candle Co until final payment of all sums owing in respect of those goods has been received in full.

In purchasing items from Green Planet Candle Co you are taking full responsibility to ensure that products are used in a safe and responsible manner, in accordance with the advice set out in 'Candle Safety Disclaimer & Care' guide at www.greenplanetcandles.co.uk/candle-safety-disclaimer-care. Green Planet Candle Co accepts no responsibility for any damage or injury that may occur due to the misuse of candles, wax melts and candle burning.
Products, Prices and Content
Whilst every effort is made to ensure the pictures and colours depicted on the site match as closely as possible those of the product, due to technical limitations, some colours may vary.
All prices are shown in pound sterling (£). Prices, product descriptions and specifications are checked and whilst every effort has been made to make them accurate, no responsibility will be accepted for errors and omissions.
Any information displayed on our website or other printed matter is not regarded to be authoritative or certified as the best practice and is only considered to be useful supplementary advice to other certified codes of practice. All information on this website is updated regularly.

Green Planet Candle Co reserves the right to make minor changes to the products. Green Planet Candle Co may change the product(s) to reflect changes in relevant laws and regulatory requirements; and to implement minor technical adjustments and improvements. These changes will not affect your use of the product.
Promotional discounts are sometimes offered for a limited time. Details and expiry details will be communicated accordingly at the time the discount is offered. Promotional codes are not valid on sales items. If you wish to purchase sale items, please make a separate order.

Promo/discount codes are not to be used to purchase charity candles (proceeds being donated to charity), sale items, gift vouchers or subscription boxes.
Free delivery is applicable to orders that total £40 or more after any promo/discount code has been applied.
Any return of products will be for the price actually paid. No price adjustments or partial reimbursements on previous purchases can be given with vouchers.

Right to Cancel
You have the right to cancel this contract within 14 days from the day after the goods have been received without giving any reason. The cancellation period will expire after 14 days from the day on which you acquire, or a third party other than the carrier and indicated by you acquires, physical possession of the goods or, in the case of multiple goods under one order, when the last of the goods is similarly acquired. To exercise the right to cancel, you must send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org of your decision to cancel this contract by a clear statement. I will then communicate to you an acknowledgement of receipt of such a cancellation by email without delay. To meet the cancellation deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication concerning your exercise of the right to cancel before the cancellation period has expired.
Effects of Cancellation
If you cancel this contract, Green Planet Candle Co will reimburse to you all payments received from you, including the costs of delivery. Green Planet Candle Co may make a deduction from the reimbursement for loss in value of any goods supplied, if the loss is the result of unnecessary handling by you. I will make the reimbursement without undue delay, and not later than – (a) 14 days from the day you return any goods supplied, or provide evidence that you have returned them, or (b) if there were no goods supplied, 14 days from the day on which we are informed about your decision to cancel this contract. Green Planet Candle Co will make the reimbursement using the same means of payment as you used for the initial transaction, unless you have expressly agreed otherwise; in any event, you will not incur any fees as a result of the reimbursement. Green Planet Candle Co may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been received back or you have supplied evidence of having sent back the goods, whichever is the earliest. The deadline is met if you send back the goods before the period of 14 days has expired. You are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from the handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.
Green Planet Candle Co will pay the costs of a return if the product/s are faulty or not what you ordered. If you are ending the contract because you are exercising your right to change your mind or because Green Planet Candle Co has told you of an upcoming change to the product or these terms, or if there's a delay in delivery due to events outside my control, and in all other circumstances, you must pay the costs of return.
Damaged or Incorrectly Supplied Products
Please check all ordered products on receipt. If the products you receive are damaged or incorrectly supplied then you must notify details of any damage or error by email to email@example.com within 14 days including photo-evidence. Please return the products to Green Planet Candle Co. as soon as possible.
Damage during the course of returning products: If you choose to return any products, I will not be responsible for any loss or damage to them in transit and, for this reason, I recommend that you use a recorded delivery service and retain evidence of postage. If returned products are lost or damaged in transit, I reserve the right to charge you (or not to refund any amounts attributable to) such loss or damage. In the case of damaged or incorrectly supplied goods, I may offer you a replacement product.
Other Cancelled Products
If you want to cancel products that are not damaged or incorrectly supplied, then you must inform Green Planet Candle Co of this within 14 calendar days after the day on which you received the goods or services in accordance with the Regulations or otherwise as soon as possible. You must take good care of the products that you wish to cancel. Products should be returned in or with their original packaging, promptly at your cost, details which will be notified to you at the time of cancellation.
This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Regulations. Full details of your rights under the Regulations are available in the UK from your local Citizens’ Advice Bureau or your Local Authority’s Trading Standards Office.
Any refunds given by us will be made to the debit/credit card account or by cheque (as applicable) provided when you placed your order and will be subject to my right to withhold amounts for products which are damaged on return. Where products are delivered to a third party in accordance with your order, you will only be able to exercise this cancellation right if you can return the goods to Green Planet Candle Co.
The aim is to dispatch orders within 1 working day (excluding weekends and Bank Holidays) but it may take up to 2 working days to get an order ready. Delivery time will vary depending on the delivery service you have chosen but approximately 2-3 working days following dispatch. Please note, Green Planet Candle Co cannot be held responsible for any third-party involvement where delays occur to deliveries. Green Planet Candle Co can arrange delivery to most postal areas in mainland UK but cannot be held responsible for delays outside my control. If the supply of products is delayed by an event outside my control then you will be contacted as soon as possible to advise any steps taken to minimise the effect of the delay.
All risk in the products you order (including risk of loss and/or damage to the products) shall pass to you when they are delivered to the shipping address specified in your order.
Green Planet Candle Co shall be under no liability for any delay or failure to deliver products if the delay or failure is wholly or partly caused by circumstances beyond the control of Green Planet Candle Co.
Where the supply of your product(s) is delayed or prevented for reasons beyond our control (for example, material shortages, import delays or higher than anticipated demand) I will make every effort to keep you informed but shall be under no liability to you for such delay or failure.
Returns and Exchanges
I want you to be delighted with your purchase but if you are not you can return any item within 28 days of receipt as long as it is returned unused, in perfect condition, and with the original packaging so it is in a re-saleable condition.
I will be happy to exchange the item for a replacement or to make a refund which will go onto the card (or PayPal account) which was used when you made your purchase. I am not able to refund any postage charges. Postage will be charged for sending any exchange items by post.
How to Return Something
In order to comply with UK Distance Selling Regulations you must notify your intention to return your goods within 14 calendar days following receipt of your order. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org and complete the RETURNS FORM which should be enclosed with your returned product/s. Your order number will be noted on the email confirmation you received when your order was made. Please send your return by post. Please let me know whether you require an exchange or a refund and always include a daytime telephone number and your email address. Please confirm what you are returning and why, and whether you require a refund or exchange for another product. Make sure your items are securely wrapped to avoid damage during transit.
Parcels are returned at your own cost. I strongly recommend you obtain a free certificate of postage from your Post Office as I am not responsible for your parcel whilst in transit. Items lost in transit will not be treated as returned. I therefore recommend that you use a recorded delivery service. If returned products are lost or damaged in transit, I reserve the right to charge you (or not to refund any amounts attributable to) such loss or damage.
If you have identified the fault within 28 days of purchase, please contact me and let me know the details of the fault. I can then let you know whether to return it or not and make sure other items are not affected. I may ask you to email a photograph of the fault as it’s easier for you than posting it back. Should you need to return the item I will refund any standard second class postage on a faulty item. I strongly recommend you obtain a free certificate of postage from the Post Office as I am only responsible for the goods once they have been received safely back. Items lost in transit will not be treated as returned.
If a fault develops outside of the 28 day return period, email email@example.com before you return the item so I can discuss the fault with you and agree the next steps. Specific care & safety instructions are provided with every purchase so it is the buyer's responsibility to read this information and follow the instructions. Green Planet Candle Co will not accept an item returned as faulty if the appropriate product care & safety instructions have not been followed and the damage caused to the product is clearly due to wear and tear or misuse.
How to Arrange for an Exchange
If the product you require is still available I will be happy to exchange it for you. If the new item you require costs less than the one you have returned I will refund you the difference. If it costs less than the one you have returned I will need to take an additional payment from you before we can send you the item. I will charge you standard postage and packaging. Please make sure you provide a daytime telephone number or your email address so I can contact you. Email firstname.lastname@example.org
An item that was received as a gift can be returned for an exchange. An email will be sent to the person who made the original purchase when the exchange is completed. Refunds can only be made to the original credit/debit card or PayPal account on which the gift was purchased.
Once your parcel has been received safely back it may take up to 10 working days to fulfil your request. You will receive a confirmation email, assuming you have provided your email address. Please remember that it can take 5 working days after the refund has been processed for it to appear on your credit card statement.
If, after sending your return to me, you have not received our email confirmation within 10 working days, please email so I can investigate.
Assignment, waiver and third party rights
I may update or amend these General Terms and Conditions of Sale from time to time to comply with law or to meet my changing business requirements without notice to you. Any updates or amendments will be posted on the Website.
