RETURNS & EXCHANGE

If you're not entirely happy with your purchase, then you can return it (unused/damage free & excluding gift vouchers) – within 30 days following receipt of your goods. In order to comply with UK Distance Selling Regulations you must notify Green Planet Candle Co of your intention to return your merchandise within 14 days following receipt of your order. Please email info@greenplanetcandles.co.uk

If you wish to return or exchange, please ensure the item is in original condition which means that there are no scratches or marks on the product and it must not have been used or damaged to ensure it's in a re-saleable condition. Please also return the swag bag with your candle or wax melts.

 

Complete the Returns/Exchange Form and enclose it in your return parcel.

You have 30 days following receipt of your order to return items to Green Planet Candle Co. You are responsible for paying the return postage costs. It is not necessary to return goods using Royal Mail Recorded/Special Delivery service. However, you must retain evidence of postage as this will be required in the event your parcel is lost in transit. It is recommended that you obtain the appropriate insurance for your parcel as Green Planet Candle Co is not responsible for returned goods that are lost or damaged in transit.

Upon safe receipt of the parcel your refund will be processed including postage. Please allow 10 business days for the refund to reach your account. Refunds are always issued via the original method of payment.

Sale Items (if applicable)
Only regular priced items may be refunded, unfortunately sale items cannot be refunded.

 

Exchanges (if applicable)
I am happy to exchange on items that haven't been used or damaged and can be returned in the original packaging ready for re-sale (this includes items purchased with a gift voucher). If you receive goods that are damaged or you wish to exchange, please let me know within 3 days of receipt of your goods. Photo-evidence is required via e-mail if items are damaged. I will replace your order free of charge in this instance.

Please complete the Returns/Exchange Form confirming your order number and reason for return or exchange. If the item is no longer available, it can be replaced with a similar product OR a refund will be issued. Please note that cash refunds are not issued for items purchased with gift vouchers although I will be happy to exchange providing the item returned is not damaged or used.

Most orders are dispatched the next working day, Monday to Friday (excluding Bank Holidays & weekends) but please allow up to 48 hours to dispatch some orders.

Green Planet Candle Co is a small business with a staff of one, so if you order after midday on Friday, it may be Monday before your order is dispatched. ​You will receive an email confirmation once your parcel is on its way. This will include any tracking and/or postal reference numbers, depending on the shipping option you've chosen.

Delivery times may be subject to delays. Any such changes, including delays caused by bad weather conditions, staff shortages or postal strikes are beyond the control of Green Planet Candle Co. so refunds for goods and/or postage will not be made.

​​* Express | Royal Mail Tracked 24 | Special Delivery Guaranteed | DPD: Orders must be received before 12pm midday Monday to Thursday to guarantee next day delivery (Mon-Fri). If your order & payment are received before midday on a Friday & dispatched the same day, please bear in mind that Royal Mail & DPD will only guarantee delivery on the Monday. Express orders received after midday on Friday and during the weekend, will be dispatched on Monday and will be delivered on Tuesday.

The delivery provider should leave a calling card if you are not home to receive your parcel so please make alternative delivery arrangements directly with your local delivery depot. If your parcel is returned to Green Planet Candle Co because of your failure to collect it within the time specified, you are responsible for paying any additional postage costs incurred.

IMPORTANT - Goods will not be shipped until payment has been approved/authorised by your payment provider. Any delays in authorising payment will affect the estimated delivery time. It's also imperative that you provide the correct delivery address as it cannot be changed once your order is placed. 

POSTAGE FOR REFILLS 

The refill service applies to candles purchased from the Classic candle range, or from the recycled category if the container holds 230g-250g net weight (refer to label fixed to base of container). The refill candle is dispatched to you with FREE postage but you must pay the postage cost for the empty container you are returning (currently £3.20 by Royal Mail 2nd Class small parcel) NB. Keep hold of your original packaging/box. Not only does this make posting back more convenient, but it helps the environment too. Visit Question 10 | FAQs for further details.

ADVERSE WEATHER CONDITIONS THAT MAY AFFECT WAX 

Green Planet Candle Co uses plant-based wax that has a melt point of around 40 Degrees Celsius. It is therefore not recommended that candles are dispatched during extremely hot/humid weather conditions. This would be a rare occurrence in the UK but as climate conditions change, it's worth bearing in mind. Wax melts have a higher melt point of around 50 Degrees Celsius so are less likely to be problematic. In order to reduce the possibility of candles being adversely affected during extreme weather conditions you will be contacted via e-mail to discuss the options available. The aim will be to avoid your goods being left to stand for long periods in particularly hot places such as delivery depots or delivery vans - there is no guarantee of this of course but if you have any concerns or requests before making your order, please contact info@greenplanetcandles.co.uk ​

Payment should be made immediately by the following methods:

  • PayPal (you do not need a PayPal account to pay by this method)

  • Apple Pay (currently only available to customers using Safari on iOS 11, MAC-OS Sierra, or higher).

 

Discount or promo codes cannot be utilised after an order has been completed and/or payment has been processed.

RETURNS & EXCHANGE

Your cancellation rights
In accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you may cancel your order and obtain a refund within 28 working days from delivery.

Your rights if there is a problem with a product 
In addition to the rights described above (and in accordance with your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015), if the goods you receive are damaged or faulty, or not what you originally ordered we will be happy to offer you a refund.
